The NEMA Lite Series is designed to
introduce new competitors to winged midgets "in very low cost, less
powerful cars." Competitors can use any chassis that currently meets
NEMA specifications but engines are limited to Ford Focus and
Oldsmobile Quad4. All the cars will have starters. |

Champion, Mike Streicher of Findlay, OH
-Hawk Chassis Kit Components include:
Hawk bare chassis, cowl, cockpit sides, rear sides, belly pan,
floor, oil cooler scoop, hood, side guard, dzus buttons, front
bumper, rear bumper, left nerf, right nerf, front axle, pan hard bar
clamp, jake ladder, brake pedal, throttle pedal, tank mounts lower,
tank mount upper, motor plate, bird cages, sway bar arms, sway bar

to Michael Sboro winner of the 1st Feature Race of USAC's brand-new Carolina/Virginia Ford
Focus Midget Car Series at Hickory (N.C.) Motor Speedway.
Michael Sboro of Charlotte, N.C. driving a Hawk Midget Race Car built
by Seymour Enterprises of Marlboro, MA. led all 20 laps of the first 20-lapper to
beat Rex Norris III, Brice Kenyon, Chase Scott and Hartsell. Sboro is a 16-year-old high
school student competing in his first-ever Midget race. |
